Hey, sorry I kind of left you high and dry on this one, completely forgot you'd done the riff. Anyway here's my attempt at the full song, corrections encouraged as always!

Code: Select all
Ghost Of My Old Dog Tab

Opening riff (thanks gooner, I dont think I could have started this one without your input)

     And she would know,
     /In the photos,
e|---5---5---5---5---5---5---5---5--|
B|---0---0---0---0---0---0---0---0--|
G|----------------------------------|
D|-5---5---5---5---5---5---5---0----|
A|----------------------------------|
E|----------------------------------|

     For it was she,
     /Where I would pose,
e|---5---5---5---5---5---5---5---5--|
B|---0---0---0---0---0---0---0---0--|
G|----------------------------------|
D|-4---4---4---4---4---4---4---0----|
A|----------------------------------|
E|----------------------------------|

     Who said that I,
/With the pets that I once
e|---3---3---3---3---3---3---3---3--|
B|---0---0---0---0---0---0---0---0--|
G|----------------------------------|
D|-3---3---3---3---3---3---3---0----|
A|----------------------------------|
E|----------------------------------|

     I looked happy,
     /had,
e|---3---3---3---3---3---3---3---3--|
B|---0---0---0---0---0---0---0---0--|
G|----------------------------------|
D|-2---2---2---2---2---0---2---0----|
A|----------------------------------|
E|----------------------------------|

  (Repeat)

     But they're all gone now

  On B7 (x21202)
e|---2---2---2---2---2---2---2---2--|
B|---0---0---0---0---0---0---0---0--|
G|----------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------|
A|-2---2---2---2---2---2---2---2----|
E|----------------------------------|

     To an earthen bed.

  On C  (x32013)
e|---3---3---3---3-3----------------|
B|---1---1---1---1-1----------------|
G|----------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------|
A|-3---3---3---3---3----------------|
E|----------------------------------|

Continue the same finger picked style:

  Strummed / Picked
G (320003) / (3xxx03)

ie:

e|---3---3---3---3---3---3---3---3--|
B|---0---0---0---0---0---0---0---0--|
G|----------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------|
A|----------------------------------|
E|-3---3---3---3---3---3---3---3----|

fill 1:

e|---3---3---3---3---3---3---3---3--|
B|---0---0---0---0---0---0---0---0--|
G|----------------------------------|
D|------------------------02---0----|
A|----------------------------------|
E|-3---3---3---3---3---3------------|

    Don't yell at me,
G  (320003) / (3xxx03)

   Cause you can't see
Em (022000) / (0xxx03)

   Who I'm thinking of
B7 (x21202) / (x2xx02)

C  (x32013) / (x3xx13)

Fill 2:

e|---3---3---3---3---3---3---3---3--|
B|---1---1---1---1---1---1---1---1--|
G|----------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------|
A|-3---3---3---3---3---3---2---0----|
E|----------------------------------|

Same chords becoming progressively more electric/barre chords:

G              Em                     B7                C   Fill 2
You act as if, you've caught me with, Someone I used to love
G                              Em                     B7                C   Fill 2
Well I guess you've caught me, But you won't stop me, And I'll never have enough
G                 Em                 B7                       C    Fill 2
I'm only talking! I'm only laughing! With the ghost of my old dog!

Back to the opening riff, no lyrics this time until "They're all gone now".

Repeat the whole "Don't yell at me section" up to the last C chord, no "fill 2", instead alternate from C to A for a bit and then C to D real quick and end on the opening G9 riff.

I hope all of that made some kind of sense. Again I'd like to thank Gooner for figuring out the hard part! Enjoy :D

Thanks for sharing! It's quite necessary to be supplied with such details. I'm glad that you have contributed them.
