My faves:

Live Music/ Bootlegs: Dimeadozen, Traders Den
Music: Waffles.fm. What.cd
Bowie: MindWarp
Smiths: Smithstorrents.uk
Brit T.V. : TheBox (God bless Brit T.V.)
American T.V.: Eztvit
Art Films/DVD: Cinematik ('tik)
Art Films/XviD: Karagarga (KG)
Art Film/XviD: Cinema Obscura
Art Films/XviD: The Pirate Bay- search "freakyflicks"
Asian Films/DVD: Asian DVD Club (ADC)
Mainstream Films/DVD: BitHQ
Documentaries/XviD: MVGroup
Misc. Video/Apps: Demonoid (It's back!)

I couldn't live without Cinematik, ADC, Dimeadozen or TheBox.
Waffles.fm is pretty cool when looking for rare music, and Karagarga (KG) is great for rare video.
A good scene site for mainstream stuff is releaselog.

Here's some good ones:

demonoid
btmon
mininova
seedpeer
thepiratebay
isohunt

Of course, just punch what you're looking for into Google and you'll be fine. Torrents are awesome.

You could be outside right now.

This guy really knows his piracy.

Another good site for mainstream films is goem.org

i can offer invites to Karagarga (or karangara, whatever...) and goem, and in a day or three i'll have some invites to thebox.bz (like ebo says, god bless british TV. There is still a sizable minority of shows that aren't complete shit unlike american TV where the minority is so miniscule as to be negligable.)

PM me if you fancy getting into one of these sites, but be warned: they are not for bittorrent newbies so if you've never used it before, read up on how to do it properly and also read the individual site rules carefully. You won't be able to just download loads of stuff straight away, but its definitely worth having the patience to maintain good stats and avoid getting banned for sites like KG and thebox. The amount of great rare media these two sites have is mind boggling.
